Warning!!!! Heavy picture post ahead!

Hi, guys! It's been a while, hasn't it? After my long Christmas rush I settled in for a long winter's nap...but instead I immediately got nasty sick. Or nasty and sick....whatever! :0) Anyhow, it happens every year at this time, and you'd think I would learn not to burn the candle at both ends, BUT! No. I like my routine. heh So, I have spent the past couple of weeks trying to repair myself. Good news, I was able to get some knitting and spinning done in the meantime. Bad news, all the yarn stores are having sales and I haven't been yet!!! I need to get my last stash enhancement in as I think I may join Wendy's Knit From Your stash 2007.
Knit From Your Stash
I THINK. Honest to God, I don't know if I have the willpower.
Sock Yarns Don't Count!
Note: sock yarns do not count.

On an even brighter note, I received a package from my SP!!! She is the BEST!!! She went above and beyond. Thanks, SP!Look at this stuff. I have been admiring Arctic Lace online and here it is!!!
Arctic Lace
It is a very interesting read, I might add. And look at the Alpaca! Can't wait to spin this!

Bath and Body, my fave!

One of the best gifts was for my two pals Fritz and Mia. It squeaks like a mouse and Mia will play with it forever. It has been hilarious.
Mia and mouse
And last but not least. Truffles!!!!!! Homemade truffles. I can't show you because we ate them immediately....like the gluttons we are. But, believe me, they were amazing. The peppermint truffles were to die for. My mouth is watering again just thinking of them! Thanks again, SP!!!! REALLY! I can't wait to find out who you are.

Here is the platinum from Mama-E all spun and plied.
Platinum plied
It is 50/50 merino and tencel. I am thinking of a lace shawl or scarf with this depending on my yardage. The sheen on this is just stunning.

And socks, socks, socks. This is the heel on some socks I should be finishing this weekend.

Notice the needles?
Celtic Swan Needles

They are Celtic Swan Needles made of sterling in size 0. They are a dream to knit with. Yes, they do bend a little if you aren't careful. I am a super tight knitter with a death grip on my needles, so it has helped me lessen the mongo-grip a little to knit with these. Amazingly, it is a little more comfortable to knit. Imagine that.
;0) I also received some in the bronze that she makes, but I have yet to try them. They are gorgeous as well!

I haven't cast on for the Zauberflote, yet. Surprised? Yeah, me, too. I am still working on my SoDaWL and Elizabeth I. and Luskentyre.....and the list goes on and on............but now that I have a little taste for finished objects...I think I may finish one or two more before the cast-on. :0) Maybe.

And in closing, here is a little shot I found as we headed out to my family for Christmas. heh I couldn't resist it, you know me.

You can't join! I can't possibly keep all those yarn vendors in business all by myself. Well, maybe just those that sell Shetland ;-)

Lovely gifts! Stop tempting me. I'm not gonna cave in & buy a VY kit in 2007!

Wishing you and yours a happy and safe 2007 with lots of knitting time and finished objects!

Knit from your stash? But think of all those unloved homeless skeins out there! How can you turn your back on them?

And why is it that sock yarn doesn't count? Can you buy enough yarn for a FI sweater and claim it was for socks?

Mia is adorable in that pic. Very intent.

Great pics! And kitty pictures too! Oh, I hope you're feeling better.

I'm sure with Marina and Carrie around, the yarn shops should be OK... I have to join because, well my stash is pretty pathetic!

All the best for a happy, healthy and successful 2007!

Take care of yourself, Sharon! Hope you get to feeling better soon. I've joined the 2007 Stash Buster thingy, too. I made a list of everything that I could make with my yarn and that sold me instantly. In fact, I think it would take a couple years to use up all my stash!
