it really feels terrible when a beloved pet dies. I'm really sorry for your loss!
::: hugs ::: So sorry to hear of your loss. Hope it comforts you to know that he had a good life, while here.
I'm so sorry to hear about Rupert. It's never easy to lose someone you love.
Isn't it amazing how attached we become to our pets.....I am really sorry for you -- but I'll tell you what I tell everyone - if you loved him, get another Rupert, or Randy or whatever.....because Rupert would love it if you did....honest.
I am heartbroken! I will miss my little buddy and the love noises he gave me when I was there.
Poor guy -- but he lived long!
You left a nice comment on my blog and asked about Kz -- it was fabulous. Central Asia is truly a mix of East and West, Turkic and Mongol and Chinese and Persian. It is a huge country with a very varied topography -- we lived first in Almaty where there are mountains, and then moved to the capital, Astana, which is in the steppe and part of what the Soviets used to call Siberia! They have a wonderful felt and rug tradition -- but no knitting. It was finally explained to me that while they had "wool", the way it was prepared was too coarse for garment use, and since they had to felt A LOT for the yurts, they made a lot of felted clothing!
I am so sorry to hear about Rupert. We are bird lovers and have had many and know the pain of your loss.
